Other emergencies and what to expect when you ring for an appointment
If, however, you need to schedule an emergency appointment outside your regular appointment time because you have:
- a poking wire(s)
- a loose bracket(s)
- a loose band(s)
- a broken archwire(s)
- a broken or lost removable appliance(s)
- a broken or lost retainer
Whilst we can’t guarantee you will be able to see your usual orthodontist, we can help you during our regular office hours.

We will schedule you an appointment in one of the dedicated emergency slots reserved in our diaries.
Please also note that the objective of emergency appointments is to help our patients out of trouble only; repairs, replacements and definitive treatment are always left to your regular orthodontist unless exceptional circumstances apply, and may entail up to 2 visits outside your regular appointment.
